Cabela "Bela" for short was born June 3rd 2009. Bela is an easy going quiet dog. She LOVES water and will find a way to come in the house completely wet no matter what the weather is or how little water is available. She is a fast swimmer and she always leaps in the water rather than just running in. She will swim as long as we have time to let her. She is very motivated to retreive in water. Bela loves to snuggle up in our laps when she's ready for a nap. She's a smaller lab weighing in around 55-60 pounds. She has a narrow head and petite face that is expressive and sweet. Bela is well behaved now, but as a puppy, she thought of things to get into that none of our other dogs had. She's inquisitive and adores meeting new people. She enjoys small children and is very gentle and patient with them. At one year old she still gets excited when meeting new people and must be reminded not to jump on them at a first meeting, but after her initial greeting she is very well behaved.
